Remembering briefly today that it’s Palm Sunday. I read two posts I’d like to share with you.
The first is from Birdee Blessings which also shared my lovely graphic.
John 12:12-16
On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.
And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,
Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt.
These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.

So at the time the disciples did not know what was happening in this scene, however afterwards it all made sense.
Isn’t this so much we go through in life?
We don’t get or understand the whole point of just what we are going through now - but one day we will!
Then it will be worth it all!
When we see Jesus as the hymn says.
I also wanted to share a link to this brief blog post HERE on the prophecies of this scene 500 years before its fulfillment here on Palm Sunday nearly two millennia ago.
I think what shock me most as I look at this scene afresh is the fickleness of crowds.
Less than a week later they willingly cry, “Crucify Him, crucify Him!”.
So sad a reflection upon mankind.
Lord bless you, dear ones.
I trust you're encouraged and will go and encourage others in the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Let us keep on keeping on!
Prayer hugs,

(Still not well, so truly appreciate your loving thoughts and prayers. )

Thank you for this encouragement, dear sister. It is so hard when we are going through things to see what God is doing, but as you said, later we look back and see that there truly was a Divine purpose for our pain and suffering. May the dear Lord bless you.
Thank you Shaz for this encouragement - it is often difficult to understand suffering, especially when we are in the middle of it.
Yes, I had often thought of the fickleness of the crowd and the way they changed in just the week, but that too was of God to fulfil His purposes.
Blessings

Such encouragement and much needed. Thank you xx
Yes it is sad how changeable sinful human nature often can be... even in ourselves. And it's so often hard to understand difficulties and trials, but still what we need to strengthen our faith most, as a quote from George Mueller that says "The only way to know strong faith is to endure great trials. I have learned my faith by standing firm through severe testings." Would appreciate prayers as I am in the midst of a difficult time still myself, and continuing to pray for you to get better as well. Thank you always for encouraging posts on here, and your comments!
Thank you for this post dear Sis. It is hard to understand why we go through the things we do, but that is what faith is all about. We struggle for sure, because we are human, but most come right back to their faith, knowing that one day we shall understand our journey's. What would we do without the Lord Jesus?!! How can one look at this beautiful world and not believe in the Lord Jesus? Faith is what keeps us going, our faith in our Lord Jesus. Thank you again Sis. I think I have subscribed once again and did the confirmation. Hopefully now your posts will come directly to me. Hugs, Brenda
It sure would be nice to know the reasons behind the things that happen but to know that God works all things out for our good is reassuring. It is always amazing to me too how they could turn around and crucify him so quickly after praising him, but like our Pastor said we need to have that servant heart like Jesus instead of how the world is and everything is centered around how I feel and how things effect me.
I often wonder the same things that these little other ladies have said. Human nature seems to be very fickle indeed. I see it in the crowds today. What a sad reflection on peoples’ souls. Thank you for your beautiful words today Shaz.
Thank you for your sweet comment this morning my dear Shaz. I just posted a blog post a few minutes ago. I have been almost completely off of the computer for the past week and just enjoying the time I had with my dear sister while she visited. I feel bad for not commenting on posts more than I did, but although I tried to read people’s blog posts, I didn’t want to take any of the short time we had to visit by sitting on the computer. I know that you would all understand that.
Wishing you a most glorious and blessed Resurrection Sunday my dear friend. I always say this is the most important day of our year as a Christian. I am so thankful and blessed that he made the sacrifice, even unto death just for me.
Many blessings always,
Betsy
Thank you Shaz, really beautiful. My mum told me that it was palm Sunday last Sunday. Are we celebrating? 😊 Now I'll tell her about your post.
