The Word Only - Love that Gives and Gives..

Never man spake like this man. John 7:46

Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever. Psa. 45:2

The Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary. Isa. 50:4

His mouth is most sweet: yea, he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, and this is my friend. Song 5:16

All bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. Luke 4:22

He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes. Matt. 7:29

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom. Col. 3:16
The sword of the Spirit ... is the word of God. Eph. 6:17

The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword. Heb. 4:12

The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. II Cor. 10:4-5
Philippians 2:5-8
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

.. took upon Himself the form of a servant.
Why I am here? Firstly to serve the Lord of glory, secondly to glorify His Name by this service.

May we likewise humble ourselves as Christ did, be obedient to His Word, and "by love serve one another ".
A good prayer to pray that we will walk thus, God helping us.

Lord bless, dear ones. These scriptures greatly blessed my heart. They are good food to meditate thereon.

Walking in the Ordinary

Sometimes in our Christian walk we are in the thick darkness of the valley, or at other times upon the glorious mountain top, or some times in between. There is also the plateau of ordinariness.
This caught my heart and eye as I read it the other day.
"I will neither leave thee, nor forsake thee” (or I will  not in any wise forsake you). Sometimes it is not difficulty that makes me think God will forsake me, but drudgery. There is no Hill Difficulty to climb, no vision given, nothing wonderful or beautiful, just the commonplace day in and day out — can I hear God’s say-so in these things?

We have the idea that God is going to do some exceptional thing, that He is preparing and fitting us for some extraordinary thing by and by, but as we go on in grace we find that God is glorifying Himself here and now, in the present minute.
If we have God’s say-so behind us, the most amazing strength comes, and we learn to sing in the ordinary days and ways.

"We are more than conquerors through Him that loved us."
When we are upon this plateau of ordinariness, we can reach out one to another - by phone or a visit, one with whom you know you can pray.
Prayer together will lift them and you! and you will be a blessing to one another. Fellowship is key to keeping our eyes on Lord and keeping the fire of faith burning. So many need this kind of cheer. Visit a nursing home.. there are elderly saints who would be so blessed by this, or weak ones who need such an uplift. The key is the “present minute” of “glorifying the Lord” spoken of above.
We achieve this through such actions.. God's love in us serves.
"By love, serve on another" Gal. 5:13.
And such conversations will be added to the Book of Remembrance spoken of in Malachi 3, second last chapter of Old Testament.
This was on our calendar and loved it. Very apt to share here.
Hope this blesses you as much it did me, if you've time please let me know.

The Word Only - Grace Sufficient

My heart panteth, my strength faileth me. Psa. 38:10

Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. Psa. 61:1, 2

He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
For when I am weak, then am I strong. II Cor. 12:9, 10

When (Peter) saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? Matt. 14:30, 31
If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small. Prov. 24:10

He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Isa. 40:29

The eternal God is. thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. Deut. 33:27

Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power. Col. 1:11
Hope this blesses you as much it did me, if you have time please let me know.
