Word Only - I will go in the Strength of the LORD.

Excerpt from Our Daily Light

My brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Eph. 6:10

My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

II Cor. 12:9, 10

I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only. Psa. 71:16

The gospel of Christ ... is the power of God unto salvation. Rom. 1:16

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Phil. 4:13

I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily. Col. 1:29

We have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. II Cor. 4:7

Oh, how I struggle with the fraility of my human flesh, every day is such a battle!

Yet that is good and proper, it IS of God's ordering. He wants us to cling to Him, lean on Him and not on our failing flesh. One glorious day we will be free from the bondage in which we now groan, and are afflicted. The verse below is such a strong contrast to these oft repeated daily thoughts. TRULY the joy of the LORD is our Strength. and the concluding verse summarises it all!
(Hymn - "He is able to carry me through" - link here if not showing).

The joy of the LORD is your strength. Neh. 8:10

Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness. Col. 1:11

TRULY it is only in Gods power we make it through the battle each moment of each day - till He comes!

I pray these scriptures bless you richly, as only God's Word can.
