Brief Bible Meditation

This post is based on exerpts from my prayer book. In it I have scriptures written on one side, and on the other side I've prayer requests. I've been doing this for many decades, my oldest claimed verse for my family's salvation is dated 17th Oct 1979. And yes, in that time mother and father have trusted in Jesus and both are now with Him!

"..I will put My fear into their hearts..." Jer.32:40.

Here is the verse in its full context.

This is on another page with a different perspective.

When viewed through the lens of Scripture, then TODAY'S world 🌎 makes much more sense:

"Do evil continually"

"Wax worse and worse.."

And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that EVERY imagination was EVIL CONTINUALLY." Genesis 6:7

"As in the days of Noe so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be."

Matthew 24:37

But EVIL men and reducers shall WAX WORSE AND WORSE,

DECEIVING and being DECEIVED."

2 Tim.3:13

I love the next verse,

1 Corinthians 4:5
Therefore judge nothing before the time, UNTIL THE LORD COME, Who both will bring to LIGHT the hidden things of DARKNESS, and will make MANIFEST the COUNSELS of the HEARTS: and then shall every man have praise of God

I just love this verse, we must not judge anything before its time... and then one day we shall ALL HAVE PRAISE OF GOD. That is hard to take in looking at the world today, and its a good verse to really meditate upon, for its God's sure and certain promise.

In the light of some of the preceeding negativity, let's close with the last glorious promise in the bible. Revelation 22:20
He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly.

Amen. Even so, come, LORD Jesus.

May this be our daily cry - even so come, LORD JESUS!

Thanks for reading this post, and especially commenting. I’m sorry I don’t post very often - but this is the third post in April! I just felt burdened to share these scriptures, I pray they're a blessing.

May God richly bless your day, wherever you may be.
Prayer hugs, 🙏🤗

  1. Thanks so much for sharing such meaningful verses from Scripture here today. We should never judge until God says the time has come and Jesus returns. Knowing the Lord is in control certainly makes facing the uncertainties of this world bearable. Blessings!

  4. Hi Sis, It took me a few readings for the penny to drop, probably because I was looking for personal application! God sees clearly, judges the heart, and never stops doing good. So when hard times happen, it’s not about fear or despair—it’s about focusing on who God is and living in hope, which is grounded in who God is. Is that the right understanding? Thank you for this Shaz xx

    1. Yes, it's all focused on God.

... so dont judge things before time, our vision is so limited, God's is infinitely greater.
And one glorious day we shall see be like Him for we shall see Him as He is.
1 John 3:2b - "but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is."
Let's just endeavour to wait in faith patiently until that day. Praying for you Anne. Thank you for your comment, Shaz.xx

  5. Beautiful post, dear friend, and gave me renewed hope for the remaining six urgent prayer requests on my Sennacherib list. Some seem so immovable and unbending, but I am trying not to judge anything prematurely, and I know God can send a suddenly at any moment. Thank you, dear sis. I pray you feel better.

This is my aim - to be a blessing.
