Result is a mild heart attack was not. This has totally affected my health stability. Combined with my 36 y.o brilliant local Dr retiring, I have spent the last 20 mths trying to source a new one, becoming more ill as time passed due to a Dr who wouldn’t listen. In God’s great mercy, I’m now (last 4 months) under another brilliant medical team and things are starting to stabilise a little, at last. I know that there is a good, God-chosen reason for everything, including this, and THAT is such a comfort at all times.
A Dr who will listen is a rare thing these days. It’s not taught in Medical Schools my Naturopath said (who teaches Physiology at our local Medical School on uni campus). New Drs are taught to listen to their learning above the patient! 😳 So grateful things are improving, but I’m not what I was when went on miracle trip in 2018 to visit all my blogging pals. I probably won’t even travel locally, my system is now too fragile, and won’t be able to blog much, as I’m so slow.
After such an update the verse that leapt out in my mind was Romans 8:28. It’s oft quoted in times of hardship, because it is SO reassuring.
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for GOOD to them that love God,
to them who are the called according to His purpose.
It’s ALL THINGS … this of course is for those who love Jesus, we can be assured that everything happens for GOOD - and I add for GOD!
Our Loving Father God sees what we cannot, our wondrous God sees the BIG PICTURE.
The WHY behind everything. So when life gets tough it’s such a comfort to cling to “the God of all comfort”.
For some reason we are always expecting life to run smoothly, but this is exactly the OPPOSITE of what our LORD Jesus promised us.
In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Our Jesus promised PEACE in Him, but TRIBULATION or trouble in the world, BUT HE has overcome it all, and will give us the victory in it all in this world by faith in Him ...
The key is to abide, or live in His peace - while in the midst of the world’s trouble. Jesus alone can HELP us do that.
There is trouble in the broken world, because of Genesis 3, man sinned and a curse was put upon all, for all have sinned (See Romans 3:23). BUT one glorious day, ALL CROOKED THINGS will be made STRAIGHT (see Isaiah 42:16)!
INDEED What a glorious day that will be!
Thanks so much popping over for a peek and chat I truly appreciate your encouragement so much.

Oh, Shaz, I'm so sorry to hear about your ongoing health issues and for your search for a new medical practice! We are taught to trust our doctors, but sometimes, they make mistakes - they are only human. Sounds like God has amply provided for you and is walking right beside you in this storm. May He bless and comfort you always!
ReplyDeleteIt is very hard to find good doctors anywhere in the world, I know we struggle here in the US too. I am so happy the God put this new medical team is a good fit for you! Yes, hard to find ones who listen to you, actually listen. But they are out there and with the grace of God we can find them. I'm so happy to hear that they are slowly improving, but hear you about traveling, even locally. That is about how I am. My miracle/dream trip in 2019 was the last for me. And the more "local" trips from 2022 was it too. I'm fine with staying home and just doing my thing. So glad you updated everyone. We do worry about each other and that is a good thing! Sending love, hugs and prayers as well as blessings, Brenda
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear what you have been dealing with but so thankful you have found a good doctor, and hopefully they will be listening to what is said to them. I do know what you mean I have gotten frustrated at times with some of the doctors I see.
ReplyDeleteOh Shaz, what a rough ride you have had - praise God for a medical team who will listen - finally.
ReplyDeleteAs you say, knowing God is in control is a sure and steady comfort, even when things are spinning in a manner that would have us think it's all out of control...
Your words are always such an encouragement, and give the glory to God every time
Blessings
Maxine
So good to hear from you, Shaz. I thought I had commented on this very post a while back, but I am not seeing my comment, so that must have been a previous post. I pray God will lay His healing hand on you and continue to direct you, medically. Praying for you, dear sister.
ReplyDeleteJeremiah 31:3 pulls together both Romans 8:28 and John 16:33. The King James translation is beautiful. It seems that God let's us wait, even in suffering, to build our trust in Him before He answers our prayers according to His will. It isn't easy, but just knowing that He loves us so much and has drawn us unto Himself, enables us to carry on. Thank you for the encouragement through your testimony and God's Word.
ReplyDeleteHello, Shaz! I have been thinking of you lately. I haven't been posting on WOYWW or Instagram for a while so had a bit of a journey to find you again. I hope your doctors have continued to listen to you and your body. Pray that this note finds you stronger and well.
